Colleen Mihalik of CM&D, Inc. has been creating award-winning designs since 1987.  She has over 25 years of experience in kitchen and bath design alone.  Her designs have been published in the Oregonian, Better Homes and Gardens, other magazines, has won three Street of Dreams “Best Kitchen” Awards and a Remodeling Award for “Best Master Bathroom.”  Colleen also has been a General Contractor since 1996 and is licensed, bonded and insured.

Colleen Mihalik, owner, and Fred Haller, co-owner, have earned CERTIFIED REMODELER status through comprehensive review and testing in areas of business management, ethical conduct, and technical skills – with adherence to NARI's strict Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.  This certification requires at least 5 years in the remodeling field and the preparation and passing of a comprehensive exam after 16 weeks of intensive study and examination.  She also a 7 year background as a designer at a fine cabinet shop, as well as previous education in art and design, and earned a degree in Building Construction.

CM&D uses only the finest Craftsmen and Artisans, while keeping prices reasonable.  We will work with you to find out exactly what you have in mind for your project.  We’ll share our ideas, advise you of new products, and work together with you to complete your remodeling project. Our design service can include assisting you with selecting counter tops, backsplash, flooring materials, paint colors, millwork, and hardware.
 
 Following is how we will handle your project:

    •    An initial design meeting at your home to look at your project.
    •    Colleen typically will measure and do a sketch to scale.
    •    A Proposal for design and drawings is sent to you.
    •    Colleen does AutoCAD drawings that are ready for bidding, permits and construction.
    •    An Estimate is made for the cost of your project.

Once you approve the estimate, we can obtain permits and start the actual remodel.
